The story takes place circa 3am in the mind of a woman who is having difficulty sleeping. As she tosses and turns, she reflects on her childhood in a poor urban area being raised by her widowed mother while unfairly tasked with looking after her mentally ill aunt. The lines between reality and imagination blur as she drifts in and out of sleep, consciousness, dreams, and memories trying to find stable ground amid grief and hope.

Reviews
"Christine Stoddard’s latest audiobook is a dreamlike and haunting exploration into the minds of those people descending into states of mental illness. Meagan Meehan’s brilliant written narrative speaks on several mental health topics throughout the storyline ranging from trauma, personal disassociation, suicide, anxiety, delusionary thought processes, and stigma as they relate to the central characters. Water and its wavering properties are a central theme to the story and parallel the characters changing mental states. Christine Stoddard’s voiceover along with the background soundtrack brings this story to life wonderfully. I highly recommend everyone to listen to this. Five stars!"
