Quail Bell's mainstage theatre production for Fall 2023 is Mi Abuela, Queen of Nightmares at The Tank. Written by Christine Stoddard and directed by Fiamma Piacentini, this drama follows Maya, a young Salvadoran-American woman, as she navigates trauma and family mythology through magic and folklore. Her coming-of-age story explores mother-daughter relationships, mixed race identity, being the child of an immigrant, growing up without a father, and using fantasy as a coping mechanism, while featuring movement and dance. Quail Bell's comedy medley series is called Quail Tales and features plays, sketches, and improv shows at venues around New York City. The series premiered at The Players Theatre and features recurring characters, such as Art Bitch, as well as new ones.
